But to me it sounds more like Mark's vision than hers. I don't think she even knew herself what she wanted to do, until she met Mark. It maybe was for a certain time when she was back in the studio with RedOne but we all know how that ended up. It kind of feels like she's done with fame and wants to alienate herself from the public as much as she can, even more than during BTW.Īlso, her statement that she knows what her fans want is not true. I'm not saying that it's a bad record but it's just not something you'd expect from Gaga at this point of her career. I'm pretty sure that that 80% of her fanbase would never listen to Joanne if it wasn't Gaga. I just don't like some vocals at times and the fact that it sounds like a live album, which was probably intentional.īut I don't think that people who fell in love with GAGA will love this album as much as her previous ones. Well the good thing is that I don't dislike any song so far God I typed this all on my phone, back to bed Ive cleared my head of what they sound like, but I remember dancing in circles because it's the one that fits what's current on radio and sounds like sia

I love PI and MR, but they are the weakest singles imo It's good that she's finally using her voice and the super bowl promo will help serve this to new fans.Īlso angel down and hey girl are so strong. It's not straight up country folk so that's good. I love the Beatles influences and country element. This could end up being my favorite gaga album though, but her other albums are so good so it might be hard. It's not her best work but it's a step a new direction that I think she'll master, just like 4 is the journey to Lemonade.

The material is really beautiful and I hope critics praise this. You have to treat it differently than listening to her other pop albums because it's not just straight up bops.

I love singer-songwriter songs so this album will slay the fuck out of me. Ok girls I only listened twice and I think I will be slayed.
